Four types of back up ring are available and are ordered as part number with type
of ring added as a suffix such as BS324/EBU.
HBU - Supplied unsplit; manufactured from polyester elastomer.
BU - Spiral back up ring; normally manufactured from virgin PTFE, ring being self adjusting to design diametrical tolerances.
EBU - Endless back up ring; normally manufactured from virgin PTFE, used where problems are possible, as with rotation of screwed end caps, which would cause the spiral type to unwind.
ESBU - Endless split backup ring; manufactured as the EBU, but is split to facilitate of assembly in certain application.
